Hera
Hera was the queen of the gods. She was also the goddess of marriage. She was the mother of the war god, Ares, and the forge god, Hephaestus. Hera was very graceful, too. Hera became fond of peacocks, cows, lion, and cuckoos. But, Hera was sometimes bossy, and even unfair.
Once, because Hera sent Argos, a hundred-eyed monster, to spy on Zeus, Zeus sent the young goddess Echo to keep Hera from spying on him. Echo was a great storyteller. She kept Hera busy for hours with her stories. Zeus could get away with whatever he wanted. When Hera found out, she got mad at Echo. This was unfair to Echo because, after all, she could not refuse a direct order from the king of the gods. Hera stripped Echo of her ability to tell stories, and of her ability to speak normally. Now, she could only repeat what others say. Legend has it that, when you speak into a large canyon or valley, you can hear Echo's voice repeating what you said (source: Ancient Greek Gods and Goddesses Facts for Kids).
